Issue of Emergency Certificate
 

         This facility is available :

  • For deportation purposes

  • Cases of theft/loss of passports (where the bearer wishes to return to India from Geneva directly and does not wish to travel further)


NOTE: THE ISSUANCE OF EMERGENCY CERTIFICATE IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE AUTHORTIES AND IS DECIDED ON MERIT ON A CASE TO CASE BASIS.

Process for applying Emergency Certificate :

  • Please log in the website https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in/mission/ and fill the application form online and submit print out of application form with photocopies of first and last pages of passport.

  • Three, latest, identical coloured photographs ( 4cmX4cm with light coloured background).

Issue of duplicate Emergency Certificate or Certificate of Identity in lieu of EC/IC on the ground that it has been stolen, lost, damaged or destroyed.
