Statement by India at the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group 50th Session (3-14 November 2025): 4th UPR of Andorra – Interactive Dialogue delivered by XXX, Permanent Mission of India, Geneva, 6 November 2025

Mr. President,

India welcomes the delegation of Andorra and thanks them for their presentation for presentation of its national report.

  1. We appreciate the various policy and legislative measures outlined in the National Report in promoting and protecting human rights in Andorra. We welcome the launch of National Plan of Action for children and Adolescents for the period 2022-2026; and the Comprehensive Mental Health and Addictions Plan for the period 2021-2030.
  1. In the spirit of constructive cooperation, India makes the following recommendations to Andorra:
  • consider ratifying the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights;
  • consider joining the International Labour Organization and its core labour conventions;
  • Maintain efforts to promote and safeguard the rights of persons with disabilities, with particular focus on addressing the unique needs of women and children with disabilities.
  1. We wish the delegation of Andorra all success in its review.
