Thank you Mr. Vice President,

India warmly welcomes the delegation of Mongolia and thanks them for the presentation of their national report.

2. We appreciate the adoption of the law establishing specialized courts in family and child matters, which is a significant milestone in advancing the protection of children's rights. We also note the measures to strengthen judicial independence and impartiality.

3. In the spirit of constructive engagement, we recommend the following to Mongolia:

One, strengthen efforts to combat human trafficking by allocating resources for preventive programmes addressing root causes, and enhancing protection and rehabilitation services for victims;

Two, implement targeted programmes to combat gender based violence, especially against women and girls with disabilities;

And three, continue and expedite efforts to combat unemployment by strengthening access to technical and vocational training.

4. We wish Mongolia a successful UPR review.

Thank you.
