Mr. President,

1. India warmly welcomes the delegation of Kiribati for the adoption of the UPR Working Group’s report on its 4th UPR, held on 28 April 2025.

2. The review saw substantive participation with 59 delegations taking the floor and making a total of 183 recommendations. We appreciate the constructive engagement of the delegation of Kiribati during the entire review, which reflects their commitment to the UPR process.

3. India appreciates that as many as 120 recommendations have been accepted by Kiribati, including two out of three recommendations made by us.

4. While recommending the adoption of their UPR report, we congratulate the delegation of Kiribati on a successful review and wish them success in their efforts towards implementing the accepted recommendations.

I thank you.
