Madam Vice President,

We welcome the delegation of Guinea. We appreciate the measures taken for establishing institutional frameworks for the promotion and protection of human rights and for strengthening the existing ones.

2. We also welcome the implementation of projects and programmes aimed at poverty reduction, promotion of employment and boosting agricultural yields which would be important in ensuring socio-economic rights of people of Guinea. We commend the action taken by Guinea to promote empowerment and entrepreneurship amongst women and youth.
