Mr. President

India warmly welcomes the delegation of Kyrgyzstan and thanks them for the presentation of their national report.

  1. 2. We appreciate the progress made by Kyrgyzstan under the National Action Plan for Gender Equality. The efforts being made under the Education Development Program and its action plan are also noteworthy.
  2. 3. In the spirit of constructive engagement, we recommend the following to Kyrgyzstan:
  • One, continue efforts to combat trafficking in persons while allocating sufficient resources for the implementation of laws to combat human trafficking;

  • Two, continue efforts to combat discrimination against women and promote women’s access to formal employment;

  • And three, continue efforts to combat child labour through allocation of sufficient resources and more effective implementation of child labour laws.
  •
  1. We wish Kyrgyzstan a successful UPR review.

Thank you.
