Statement by India under Agenda Item 6: Adoption of UPR Outcomes of Albania at the 58th Session of Human Rights Council (24 February - 4 April 2025), delivered by Mr. Kshitij Tyagi, Counsellor, Permanent Mission of India, Geneva, 24 March 2025

 

Mr. President,

 

India warmly welcomes the delegation of Albania for the adoption of the UPR Working Group’s report on its 4th UPR, held on 4 November 2024.

2. ​The review saw substantive participation with 79 delegations taking the floor and making a total of 253 recommendations. We appreciate the constructive engagement of the delegation of Albania during the entire review, which reflects their commitment to the UPR process.

3.​ India appreciates that as many as 239 recommendations have been accepted by Albania, including all three recommendations made by us.

4.​ While recommending the adoption of their UPR report, we congratulate the delegation of Albania on a successful review and wish them success in their efforts towards implementing the accepted recommendations.
